Signs That Move Me

Signs

The human eye has been genetically perfected over centuries to detect movement.  A hunter can see something moving over a mile away. Luckily for prey animals, they too have developed the ability to detect movement as part of their self-defense programming.  One of their most common defense mechanisms is to stop moving when they feel threatened.  Thanatosis is a form of bluff in which an animal mimics its own dead body, faking death to avoid being attacked by predators seeking live prey.

Taking advantage of this human evolution, the sign industry uses movement all the time.  Signs move, swing, rotate, and spin. You don’t need a large mechanical sign with motors to create movement.  Think about Las Vegas and all the signs that create movement with lighted, starbursts, waterfalls, or moving wheels.

These effects can all be emulated by lights going off and on in a particular pattern.  These signs require electricity and a permanent structure, but some signs are designed to flap in the breeze.

Flags are a good way to attract attention to your business.  They are inexpensive, light, can be temporarily or permanently installed in many locations, and they move.  Even the slightest breeze sets them aflutter.  Multiple flags in a row seem to move in cooperation as the wind moves around them.

SpeedPro East Bay can help you with all kinds of signs, including flags.  We’ve got many flags to choose from.  Short ones, tall ones, fat ones, and skinny ones.  They’re inexpensive, movable, and easy to put up and take down.

They come in multiple sizes, from seven feet high to 20’ high.  They can be single-sided or double-sided and they come with a spike base or an X-base.

We have many styles of flags to choose from; just call and we can help you design one.
