Vehicle Wraps

  1. Start with a great logo.

If you don’t already have a logo, you’ll need one.  A good logo will be simple and easy to understand, connected to your business, and the industry you are in.  If you don’t have a logo, SpeedPro East Bay can help you design one.  Our graphic designers are well-trained in using color palettes, fonts, balance, and scalability.  We can help you create a versatile and unique way to establish your brand identity.

  1. Don’t use photos.

Photos can be hard to scale up to the sizes needed for vehicle wraps and they are limited to one point in time and one viewpoint.  It’s better to use artwork that has been specifically designed to get the point across rather than to try to define it with a photo.  It’s also easier to put information where you want it when designing your wrap.  You don’t want your logo to span doors, or other dimensional areas of your vehicle.

One exception can be a photo of a person.  One of our plumbing clients has his photo on the side of over 20 trucks and vans.  He is the face behind the business, his customers are assured that he stands behind the work of his team.

  1. Limit your copy.

You don’t need phone numbers, QR Codes, or websites.  You need to make sure viewers know your name and what you do.  No one takes the time to write down a phone number when they see your vehicle.  But if they know the name of your business, and what you do, they can search for you when they need you.

  1. Design to stand out.

Bright colors, big and bold graphics, and simple designs that get the point of your business across are what’s needed to get noticed on the street or in a parking lot.

  1. Simple and Obvious.

If it’s simple and obvious, it will be easy for the viewer to understand what you do, and who you are.  A simple internet search is all they need to find you.
